Now I come to find out you have your own channel so I subscribed. Glad I stumbled onto this video. We, my wife and I, have never cruised with MSC so I can’t add much to the conversation but thanks for the info anyway. Look forward to more.

I love the no kids policy also. Best cruise I ever had was post Covid on a ship 60% full with no children under 12. It was fantastic, or brilliant if you prefer.

The word "Tannoy" is foreign to Americans ;). (They can tell the meaning from context, obviously.) I have only cruised NCL and very,very few announcements sound in the cabins, only in public areas, which I sometimes found annoying. For example, because of a hurricane, the itinerary changed to skip the next port and replace it with a different port for the next day, but the announcement did not come in the cabins and I didn't know. The announcement only played in the public areas. I needed to know this information to replan my excursion.

Would not be happy in that accessible cabin - especially if you had to pay to upgrade to it after they gave you that awful "studio" cabin. Would have demanded a "regular" inside cabin.

That first room you where allocated looked like a pantry or nanny room? Glad you where able to turn things around in your mind.

I have a Verizon hotspot, I never thought about it but I wonder if that would work on the ship. I'm surprised they don't have a couple of self-serve washers and dryers where one can do their own laundry.

Don't mind me, I'm way behind and just catching up... That's a nice room! Maybe a bit dated but nice and clean, that's paramount for me, and has everything one would need. The fridge door should open the other way, that's an oversight that reflects poorly on them. I agree with you about the bed however, that size allows for more floor space and walking around room so perhaps that's why they opted for that since it is a room for one. I've never seen a balcony like that. I guess you won't be sunbathing on it but on the plus side, it is so private you don't need to put on pants to go out. 🤭 I hope all is well!

I had a nice experience on MSC Meraviglia, people came out to enjoy themselves, my room attendant was great, the staff in the main dining room seemed lost and confused at times., but friendly, My only two bad experiences were the buffet food, which was a major disappointment, I only ate pizza and cheeseburgers there which was great, I had my own issue with a receptionist at the end of the cruise, just plain rude.

That first cabin looked awful! Glad you managed to get it sorted even if it did require paying for an upgrade and wasting so much time on your boarding day. Sailing out of NYC has been on my bucket list too, thankfully I’ve got one booked for next year!

We are so sorry for the way you were treated. We are also content creators who live in NYC. Watching past guests on MSC explain about the horrible customer service they provide really puts into perspective our decision to sail with them. MSC needs to do a thorough customer service training to all their employees. Their ships are stunning but their employees need interaction and problem solving training. If they do, MSC has the potential to take over the cruise market by storm. Hope the rest of your sailing becomes a better experience for you. Happy sailings!😊

Thank you for showing this as a person who has no choice but to use accessible cabins it is good to see the offering, only point missing is a power point by the bed. Those using accessible cabins very often need a lot of power options for equipment as well as the normal phone, laptop charging etc

You are about 20yrs younger than me, but I find I really relate to your take on things. That’s so refreshing. You are open minded, intelligent and charming. And succinct (omg so important!) I always think "Deluxe" means a larger floorspace (sometimes by a very small amount), perhaps a better ship position (as decided by the cruiseline) and / or a different colour scheme (from the standard offering) or an additional comfy chair or small sofa ?? But never a combination of all of the above !! I presume all accessible cabins might routinely fall into the "Deluxe" category ?? Any thoughts Fraser ? 😂😂😂

What cabin fid you book. Did you mot do research as to what you were paying for

I've never had a bathroom with a phone. Guess I should be glad about not needing an accessible cabin.
